Portrait Photography

In my portrait photography I strive to capture my subjects in moments of freedom and spontaneity. I approach each subject from an artistic perspective and look to catch a glimpse of their inner self, which is so often shielded by the pressures of society. I enjoy working with people of all ages, from infants to seniors, and use each meeting as an opportunity to connect with the heart of another human being.

Pet/Animal Photography

I love working with animals, especially dogs, and find the process very similar to photographing people. Once you earn an animal's trust, they tend to open up and share their unique "personality" with the camera. I typically work entirely with natural lighting as I feel this creates a certain authenticity in the images I create.

I am available to teach you in my various levels of expertise, including:

• Principles of Photography

  I will take you shooting and provide tips and advice for advancing your photography and taking your images to the next level. Rate $60/hr

• Digital Image Processing & Manipulation

  In my 8+ years of experience with Adobe Photoshop ™ software, I have acquired many advanced image processing techniques. I will teach you to process your digital images for print or for the web, and explain the ins-and-outs of the individual techniques involved. Rate $60/hr

• Landscape Photography Intensive Instruction

  I will take you deep into nature and provide active input and critique as we shoot and explore the beauty of our surroundings. I will help you to clearly visualize your compositions and learn to translate your vision into unique works of art. Session will last between 3-6 hours, with an hourly rate of $75/hr.
