Let it flow

From high above,
and deep within,
“I” am connected
To the pure cosmic essence of life and of love.

This eternal essence, it beats in every breath.
Flowing softly in and out,
with ceaseless determination,
and unparalleled beauty and grace.

Through the porous skin of our material world,
A deeper reality comes seeping through,
One that flows and shines and whispers,
Softly bending and with joy embracing the inner self.

A bright, sparkling reality,
It can only emerge when the insides, too,
Become bright and shiny and dazzling with light.

And isn't it a trip,
What I once thought was life,
Is destroyed in an instant,
Replaced by a deeper, fuller picture,
Of gentle-moving time and open-flowing space.

And I know from deep within,
I am blessed with this chance,
Once in ten lifetimes,
to know this life, to know this love,
and this immense depth of being.

I owe my everything
To my spiritual teacher,
Taking my hand and pulling me forward,
Up and ever-moving,
Along the tangled path of eternal light.

And I thank you so deeply.
Love is pouring out from my heart.
